This site uses browser storage sparingly. There are no advertising cookies, no social media trackers and no cross-site identifiers on this website.
Where analytics are enabled, they load only after you accept them. Declining costs you nothing and changes nothing about how the site works for you.
Essential storage
Two items are stored in your browser's local storage, and neither is transmitted to us or to any third party. They exist so the site behaves the way you asked it to:
- sololana-theme — your choice of the light or dark appearance. Without it, the site follows your operating system setting on every visit.
- sololana-consent — your answer to the cookie banner, and when you gave it. Without it, the banner would ask again on every page.
These cannot be switched off separately, because switching them off means the site cannot remember the preference you just set. They remain until you clear your browser storage for this site.
Analytics
If analytics are configured for this site, we use them only to understand which pages are read and how visitors arrive, in aggregate. IP addresses are anonymised. No analytics script is requested before you accept analytics in the banner.
If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics request is made. If you accept and later change your mind, clear this site's storage in your browser and the banner will ask again.
What we do not use
- Advertising or retargeting cookies
- Social media tracking pixels
- Cross-site identifiers or data-broker tags
- Canvas or device fingerprinting
- Session recording or heat mapping
Form security data
When you submit a form we record your IP address, browser user agent, referring page and a timestamp alongside the submission. That is not a cookie and is not stored in your browser; it accompanies the enquiry so we can identify and stop automated abuse. It is described in full in the privacy policy.
Managing storage in your browser
Every major browser lets you view and delete site data. In Chrome, Edge and Firefox it is under privacy or site settings; in Safari it is under Preferences, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data. Clearing this site's data resets your theme and consent choices, and the banner will ask again on your next visit.
Changes to this policy
